Our Apprenticeship
Programs
Building the next generation of skilled
tradespeople in five core disciplines.

Program Showcase
PLUMBING
The plumbing trade starts with history, then specific math and commercial drawings for projects. Topics include fire prevention, drainage, vents, water systems, fixtures, insulation, finish work, basic electricity, and tool safety. Materials like pipes are covered for selection, measuring, cutting, and connecting.

Sheet Metal Working
A Sheet Metal Worker designs, makes, and installs ducts for airflow in spaces to keep occupants healthy. The apprenticeship program covers tools, safety, math, welding, and system design for safety in places like labs and schools. In the fourth year, apprentices learn about business and leadership to manage projects as journeymen.

Sprinkler Fitting
Fire sprinklers are essential safety devices that must be correctly installed to code. Training for installation involves learning about sprinkler history, valves, math, blueprints, and piping placement for optimal performance. The curriculum includes different sprinkler systems and NFPA fire codes.

Steamfitter
Our Steamfitter program starts with a historical overview of the trade. It includes a detailed module on reading drawings, blueprints, and detail sheets for pipe systems. The curriculum covers how to identify and install valves, their purpose, and applications in different piping systems. Additionally, it includes pipe fitting math, making threaded pipes, welding, tool safety, maintaining valves, and their specific roles in piping systems.

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
Apprentices in this program learn HVAC basics, safety, energy conservation, green building, building codes, professional traits, math, basic electricity, and hands-on training in a lab with electric simulators. Training covers heating (gas, oil, electric hydronic), cooling (refrigeration cycle, refrigerants, safe practices), controls, and piping techniques (copper, steel, plastic).
